Guide for Field Technicians on using TechMax for daily tasks.

This section covers the features and workflows specifically designed for Field Technicians using the TechMax application.

Technician Dashboard

Upon logging in, you'll land on your personalized dashboard.

  • Overview: Provides a quick summary of your key metrics, such as jobs completed today, pending jobs, and recent earnings.
  • Navigation: Use the sidebar menu (, , , ) to access different sections like Daily Job Log, Job History, Earnings, and Settings.
  • Key Metrics: Cards displaying important numbers like "Today's Jobs", "Completed", "Pending", and "Today's Earnings".

Logging Daily Jobs

This is your primary tool for recording the work you complete each day.

Access the Daily Job Log

Navigate to the Daily Job Log section using the sidebar menu (). The current date will usually be pre-filled.

Add Job Entries using Cards

The main part of the screen displays available job types grouped by category (e.g., Coax, Fiber City). Each job type is shown as a card with its name and your specific rate. [Screenshot: Daily Job Log form showing job type cards grouped by category]

New Interaction!

  • Tap a card once to add one unit of that job type to your log for the day. The card will show a count badge indicating how many times you've added it.
  • Tap the card again to increment the count and add another unit.
  • Double-tap a card quickly to remove the last added instance of that job type (undo).

Review Entries in the Table

As you tap cards, entries are added to a table below the cards. This table summarizes the jobs you've added for the day. [Screenshot: Job Entries table showing added jobs with quantity and notes fields]

Adjust Quantity and Add Notes (Optional)

In the Job Entries table:

  • Adjust the Quantity for any entry if needed (e.g., if you did 3 installs of the same type).
  • Add optional Notes to any entry for specific details (e.g., "Customer requested specific modem placement").

Submit Your Log

Once you have added all your jobs for the day and reviewed the entries in the table:

  • Review the Total earnings calculated at the bottom.
  • Click the SUBMIT ALL JOBS button.

Important

Ensure all entries are accurate before submitting. Once submitted, logs typically require manager approval and may not be editable by you.

Viewing Job History

Track your past work and its status.

Access Job History

Navigate to the Job History section using the sidebar menu ().

Understand the Table

You'll see a table listing your past job log entries with columns like:

  • Date: The date the job was logged for.
  • Category: The job category (e.g., Coax, Fiber City).
  • Job Name: The specific type of job performed.
  • Status: The current status (e.g., Pending, Approved, Rejected).
  • Rate: The rate applied for that job at the time it was logged.

Above the table, you can filter your job history:

  • Date Range: Select predefined ranges (Today, This Week, This Month) or a custom range.
  • Category: Filter by job category.
  • Job Name: Filter by specific job type.
  • Status: Filter by approval status (Pending, Approved, Rejected).
  • Search: Enter keywords to search across job names, notes, etc. [Screenshot: Job History filters showing dropdowns and search bar]

View Job Details

Click the Details button (or an eye icon ) on any row to open a dialog box with more detailed information about that specific job log entry. [Screenshot: Job Details dialog showing complete information for a single entry]

Checking Earnings

Monitor your earnings based on approved job logs.

Access Earnings Page

Navigate to the Earnings section using the sidebar menu ().

Understand Earnings Summary

The page typically displays summary cards for:

  • Weekly Earnings: Earnings for the current or selected week.
  • Monthly Earnings: Earnings for the current or selected month.

View Payment Status

A table or list will show your weekly submissions with details like:

  • Week Period: The start and end date of the week.
  • Total Earnings: The calculated earnings for that week based on approved logs.
  • Status: The payment status (e.g., Pending Verification, Verified, Processing Payment, Paid). [Screenshot: Weekly submissions table showing period, earnings, and payment status]

Note

Earnings are typically calculated based on approved job logs. Pending logs may not reflect in the earnings summary until approved by your manager. Payment processing times may vary based on company policy.

Managing Your Settings

Update your profile information.

Access Settings Page

Navigate to the Settings section using the sidebar menu ().

Update Profile Information

You can typically view and update:

  • Full Name: Your first and last name.
  • Email: Your registered email address (may not be editable).

View Tech ID

Your unique Tech ID assigned by the administrator is displayed here. This ID might be used for identification purposes within the company. It is usually not editable by you.

Save Changes

After making any changes, click the Save Changes button.

Note

Some fields like Email or Tech ID might be read-only and can only be changed by an administrator. Contact your manager if you need to update read-only information.
