Getting Started

Learn how to log in, reset your password, accept invitations, and navigate the dashboard.

This section guides you through the initial steps of accessing and navigating the TechMax application.

Logging In

Follow these steps to log in to your TechMax account:

Open your web browser and go to the TechMax application URL provided by your administrator (e.g., https://yourcompany.techmax.app/login or the main application URL which redirects to login if you're not authenticated).

Enter Credentials

Submit

Click the Sign in button.

Access Dashboard

Upon successful login, you will be redirected to your role-specific dashboard (Technician or Admin/Manager).

Password Reset

If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it:

Click "Forgot Password?"

On the login page, click the Forgot password? link located below the password field.

Enter Email

You will be taken to the Forgot Password page. Enter the Email address associated with your TechMax account. [Screenshot: Forgot Password form showing email input]

Submit Request

Click the Send Reset Link button.

Check Email

If an account exists for that email, you will receive an email containing a link to reset your password. Click the link in the email.

Note

The password reset link is typically valid for a limited time (e.g., 1 hour). If it expires, you'll need to request another reset.

Set New Password

You will be directed to the Reset Password page. Enter your New Password and Confirm New Password. Ensure the passwords match and meet the required complexity (e.g., minimum 8 characters). [Screenshot: Reset Password form showing new password fields]

Submit New Password

Click the Reset Password button. Your password will be updated, and you can now log in with your new credentials.

First Time Login (Invitation)

If you are a new technician invited to TechMax, follow these steps:

Check Email Invitation

You will receive an email invitation from your administrator containing a unique link to set up your account. Click this link.

Important

The invitation link is typically valid for a limited time (e.g., 7 days). If it expires, contact your administrator to resend the invitation.

Set Your Password

The link will take you to the "Set Your Password" page (/setup-password). Enter a secure Password and Confirm Password. [Screenshot: Setup Password form for invited users]

Submit

Click the Set Password & Continue button.

Access Dashboard

Your account will be activated, and you will be automatically logged in and redirected to the Technician Dashboard.

Dashboard Overview

Once logged in, you'll land on your dashboard. The specific layout depends on your role (Technician or Admin/Manager), but common elements include:

  • Sidebar: Your main navigation tool to access different features.
  • Main Content Area: Displays the primary information or tools for the selected section (e.g., job log form, user list, reports).
  • Header/User Menu: May include options to access settings or log out.
